Take the Leap: Yoga and Transformational Coaching Retreat - November 2-8 2017

Take the Leap

The Land of Fire and Ice awaits you! Join Lauren Taus for Take the Leap yoga and coaching retreat in a dramatic winter paradise. This 7 day immersive experience explores the balance between comfortable and rugged, luxurious and simple; a balance that brings richness and depth to our lives. Our Icelandic soul renewal includes yoga, meditation, coaching, excursions to the Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle, spotting the Northern Lights, and of course, good company.

Lauren Taus, yoga instructor and life coach, leads twice-daily energizing, soulful yoga sessions and meditations. During this retreat, Lauren also leads group discussions and workshops tailored to fit individual and group needs. She helps students and clients out of self-limiting beliefs and behaviors which stifle meaningful movement and block happiness. Under Lauren’s guidance, you’ll develop self-esteem, clarity, and the courage to walk along paths toward personal fulfillment. Whatever stage you’re at in life, Lauren will help you find a new sense of freedom and purpose. This is what it means to take the leap!

In order to achieve our dreams we must put in the work, but we also need to relax and let go—allowing the Universe to bring us what we desire most. This is the interplay you explore with Lauren and fellow yogis during this retreat… You cannot give from an empty cup—you must fill yourself up first, then overflow with love. Through daily practice, extreme self-care and hearty celebration, you will leave this retreat feeling more than enough and ready thrive!

Iceland is a tiny country with a unique culture dating back to the Vikings. Shaped by extreme forces of nature, Iceland is a land of dramatic contrasts: hot and cold, rich and stark, lively and still. To honor the diversity of Iceland, we host the retreat in two locations: five nights at Hotel Budir on the remote Snaefellsnes Peninsula and one night at the Kvosin Hotel in downtown Reykjavik. We look forward to hosting you in Iceland. Now is the time to Take the Leap and claim the life you deserve!

The Venue

This retreat is set in two separate locations. We will spend 5 nights at the remote luxury Hotel Budir— set in one of the most beautiful places in Iceland, just a couple of hours drive from Reykjavik. This elegant hotel was built in 1948 and maintains its original old-world charm. The hotel features a cozy atmosphere, great service and a restaurant renowned for its exquisite cuisine. Each room offers a view of the magnificent landscape surrounding the hotel, including he Snaefellsjökull Glacier, the sea, the mountains, and the extensive lava field. On our last night, we head to the trendy Kvosin Hotel located right in the heart of Reykjavik. We will spend the last day exploring museums, shops and monuments in this uber-cool capital city and have our farewell celebration dinner out on the town.

The Food

One of Iceland’s chief food connoisseurs called Budir “the Mecca of Icelandic cuisine.” The restaurant is renowned for its unique local and seasonal menu that takes advantage of fresh produce from neighboring villages such as Stykkisholmur, Olafsvik and Borgarnes. The chefs at Budir will prepare 3 healthy meals each day, using top quality, organic ingredients. On our last night, we will have a farewell celebration dinner and drinks out on the town in Reykjavik. We happily accommodate vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets, as well as any food sensitivities.
